Interview with Marija Midovska Petkoska - Doctor of Economics in the field of Management - participant in ONLINE training

Marija, although a doctor of economics in the field of management, works as an exam administrator at the Faculty of Economics in Prilep. 

How did the desire to study accounting come about?

I work as an administrator of exams and a clerk for third-cycle studies and I am a licensed forensic expert in the field of economics. My education so far has been focused on marketing and management. I understood accounting, but it was a boring profession for me.

And the desire now ... above all from the desire to start my own business and the need for good accountants in the labor market.
I have been thinking about starting my own business for several years, but I have never decided to do it. During conversations with my acquaintances, they often complained about those who run their accounts. So I started thinking about accounting as something I could do and be the best at it. This is a challenge for me. There was uncertainty in me if I could and would do it, but Christina gave me the courage I needed to make a career change.

How important do you think upgrading is in an education company?

Upgrading in education is the key to any success. It is an investment in yourself that moves you forward. Like when you ride a bicycle, as long as you spin on the pedals you move, when you stop spinning, you stop and fall.
Anyone who wants to succeed must upgrade both professionally and privately. Every company needs employees who know, employees who are up to date with new developments, and who can provide solutions to problems in companies.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Adventurer, philanthropist, modest.

Work can often be stressful and exhausting, where does the energy come from?

From sports, mainly those extreme sports. What fills me, motivates me, and gives me strength are the sports activities that I often practice. I want to experience new experiences.
I have flown several times with a paraglider, a tourist plane, a diver. I currently enjoy kayaking, archery, motorcycling, and hiking. Like education, I think this is an investment in myself.


Describe your experience with Nova Consulting

The experience with Nova Consulting is wonderful for me, from the first telephone conversation with Maria when I was gathering information before I decided to enroll in the training, until the last hour - the parting where I felt like part from the class that did not lead us for 4 years.
I started the training with one group, but due to the birth of my second son I had to stop and continue later with another group and I had the opportunity to spend more time with the Nova Consulting team which is extremely professional.

The concept of the training is made so that it covers all aspects of accounting, the listeners are encouraged to find a solution for the given events and finally the most important and favorite of Christina controls, controls, controls through which you will know for sure that you have learned accounting.

I warmly recommend to anyone who is hesitant to attend the training not to think about it at all.

I recommend even those who do not think about training at all to follow it, it will open new perspectives on accounting, but also life.

What will you remember about the mentors from Nova Consulting?

Professionalism above all! Furthermore, the great commitment in the work with passion, the sincere desire to pass on the knowledge to all the participants, the positive rigor that kept our attention constantly. The extent of knowledge and openness to things. And most importantly the motivation and encouragement that Christina gave us that we can succeed.
